Employee relations in the Netherlands: what is so different about employment law or labour law in The Netherlands? It is elaborate and relatively complex, not consolidated into a single code. In general, employees have a strong position and a prominent position is fulfilled by the Works Council in companies. For HR professionals and HR managers who work for an international company based in the Netherlands, we organize courses / workshops on Dutch Labour or Employment Law & HR.

What you will learn

After these workshops you will have gained a general understanding of how Dutch Labour Law works and you will have received many tips and advice on how to act in specific situations.
* You will receive information on the employment law framework in the Netherlands, flexibility in contracts of employment, restrictive covenants and employee management about working time, benefits, leave etc.
* We will discuss non-compliant behaviour of employees, labour conflicts and sickness, harassment and ways and cost of terminating employment, via court or government agency UWV.
* You will receive practical tips for file-building, legal proceedings, termination agreements and staff representation stipulations in Dutch Law.
* We will cover reorganization, takeover and merger: how to conduct them/what are the rules.

Because we work in small groups (max 8 participants) we have the opportunity to discuss all particulars of your organisation, as well as ensure the tips provided fit the needs of you and your organization.
